About

About Chris Hedge
Chris has been photographing nature and all things that inspire him for over seven years. He first picked up a camera as a way to capture the beautiful scenery of a honeymoon spent hiking Vermont's Green Mountains in October. After several more hiking trips, Chris discovered he enjoyed taking pictures as much as he enjoyed the hiking.

Since that beginning, Chris has expanded his subject matter to include floral, high dynamic range (HDR) photography, black & white, and child photography (after the births of his two children). He is always interested in trying out new subject matter, from playful new angles to night scenes to shots emphasizing motion.

Chris was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio, but moved to Texas at age 16. He received his BBA at the University of Texas, and now lives in Austin with his wife, son, and daughter. He travels when he can, and his favorite photography trip destinations include Vermont, southern Colorado, the Guadalupe Mountains, and Yellowstone.

Equipment
Chris uses a Nikon D300 with a Tamron 18-200mm zoom lens and Nikon 105 macro lens.
